Facial Rejuvenation Treatments at Our Baltimore, Maryland Area Practice: Intense Pulsed Light (IPL™)
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL™) treatment works like laser treatment in that both options use light energy to produce the changes that are desired. IPL™ treatment is different from laser treatment, however, in that it is typically less aggressive and thus gentler to the skin. IPL™ can provide facial rejuvenation with very little risk or down time. Baltimore, Maryland area patients at our practice typically undergo a series of three to six IPL™ treatments spaced about three to six weeks apart for maximum benefit.
Facial rejuvenation with IPL™ is easily performed in our Baltimore, Maryland area office without the need for any type of sedation, though a topical cream can be applied beforehand to provide more comfort if desired. After the IPL™ treatment, the skin appears slightly darker and then peels about five days later, leaving your skin smoother in texture and more even in color. You can return to full activity the day after facial rejuvenation with IPL™ is performed, and you may wear make-up immediately.

Other Uses of IPL™
