There is not just one type of facelift that can be performed. There are a number of different techniques that can be used and so depending upon what problem the patient presents may change my recommendations for that patient, but my emphasis again is on a very a natural appearance and a lot of this has to do with making a very smooth blended transition from the cheek up into the eyelid area. I emphasize restoring a very balanced appearance in the face. As we age we see a lot of volume loss in the lower cheek and the mid face area, sort of a triangle from the eyelid, across the eyelid, and then down to the corner of the mouth, and we want to try and get a very smooth transition throughout the cheek up into the eyelid area up in through here.
